Service Unit Hohenheim Greenhouses (680)

The Service Unit Hohenheim Greenhouses (SHG) is a young central institution of the University of Hohenheim. It was created on 22 December 2011 following a Senate decision by merging the institutes' greenhouses and other University facilities. As a result, the SHG now manages nearly 13,000 square meters of greenhouses space.

The unit was established to install a central management system to achieve a more efficient and cost-effective use of greenhouse space for research and teaching.

The scientific maintenance of the facility and the assignment of space to users is handled by the SHG committee.
